She makes doll furniture and accessories using recycled material.​

I never miss a video. lol

I love how you can find an audience for nearly anything these days. lol

10,000 Subscribers! Can I Do It?

If you watch a lot of YouTube (like me) you probably already know who Shameless Maya is.​

If you don't know, now you know. ​

Anyway, Maya started a challenge in 2012 to ​be shameless after being afraid to put herself out there.  Most of us can relate to that!

I found Maya right before she started her challenge on her old channel (can't remember the name) and followed her to the new one.​

I literally watched Maya go from 0 to 130,000 subscribers in ONE year! ONE YEAR!

I want to challenge myself to #beshameless too without feeling so weirded out by it.

 I don't get along with social media.  I feel so awkward and like I'm talking to myself on most of these networks. lol

I'm working on it though. I will continue to maintain a YouTube upload schedule, write on Brown Vegan weekly, meet people and open myself up for opportunities.  I feel so energized this week and want to do as much as I can to work on a strategy to just do me, boo!

My YouTube subscriber goal for 2013 is 5,000. I need to dream bigger and aim FOR 10,000.

Why not? #shruglife

I lose nothing if I don't meet this goal, so I might as well try it. ​

Beyonce taught me a couple of lessons.​

Lesson #1

It's okay to be yourself-There was so much controversy last week about Beyonce new song snippet.  I think most of the drama is because Beyonce operated like a "brand" and not a person for so long. I will be always strive to be my authentic self.  It's just so much easier that way.  Like Kurt Cobain said, "I rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not."

Lesson #2

Be your own competition- No one is like Bey. NO ONE. She is in her own lane and I strive for that. I only want to outdo MYSELF.

He KNEW Me

Lately I've been getting a lot of spam mail in my personal AOL account. Don't laugh. I know I'm one of the last few with AOL but we go waaaay back. 

Anywho...

One of the latest messages was titled, "Tired of green tea? Try green COFFEE!"

Let's just say this spamming little weasel had me at green tea. *shaking my head*

I knew troy_southpik wasn't a friend of mine, but being the tea enthusiast that I am, I wanted to see what he had to say.  

He starts off by saying, "Long time no chat"

Umm, Troy, you play too much.

But wait it gets better...he then asks, "How are you and the kids?"  Huh? Who told you about #thesekids? lol

Then it happens....​

"I found the solution to your flabby tummy problem."​

Hol' up! Why you gotta call out my tummy, Troy?! You don't know me like that.

Next...​

"I saw the solution on TV so it must be good."​

At this point all his credibility was gone. ​TV is true? *side eye*

He tries to sell me on this green tea coffee for a couple more lines, then has the nerve, to end it with...​

"​K, Talk soon"

I really want to know how many people fall for this? I mean they would give up if no one did, right? ​
