#7 WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUTUBE CHECKS | HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON INSTEAD
Listen here…
I've been seeing a lot of YouTubers complain about their Adsense check being smaller than usual because YouTube isn't monetizing videos.
Some folks are even thinking about leaving the platform altogether.
As a content creator (and viewer), I think YouTube shouldn't be any creator's only source of income.
Here's what you can do instead of relying only on the Adsense check:
Sell your own products and services
Affiliate links
Sponsored videos
Use the YouTube platform to book offline opportunities

#4 3 WAYS TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS
If you want to grow your business using social media, you can't just throw up random pictures. Your plan has to be more strategic than that. You should post what your audience wants to see and share it in a way that will allow you to educate and build that "know, like & trust" factor that is so important when you want to make sell products and/or services.
In this episode, I share 3 strategies you must do if you want to use social media to get paid.
Listen here...
The 3 strategies are:
Connection/Engagement - Be personable and use your social media to get to know your audience.
Build an email list - Ask your social media peeps to get on your email list, so they can connect with you on a more personal level and you have a chance to provide free and paid content.
Sell directly on your social media platforms -There should be a nice balance of free content and paid offerings. Don't be that person who is "only selling" because no one wants to be sold to all day. Live video on platforms like Instagram has been really helpful for my brand.
Resources mentioned in this episode:
Mailchimp - email service provider to collect emails to build your mailing list; offers a free account for up to 2,000 subscribers
