101. The Truth About What I Did to Get Back On Track with Vegan Life

In this episode, I share the four steps I took to get back on track with vegan life.

Quick recap of the steps:

  • I started working on the areas in my life that needed immediate attention—I made it more than food, and focused on other areas like: getting proper sleep, decluttering, taking care of things financially, etc. After working on those areas, I was in a better mental space to improve the way I ate.

  • Wrote my WHY and spent time going deep with it (several writing sessions) — My WHY - Better quality of health as I age and making an impact on the world

  • Having a consistent plan - batch cooking, grocery delivery/pick up

  • I stopped beating myself up!

Taking A Break...

updatedpodcastcover2019.jpeg

Back in May, I decided to take a break from the podcast to regroup and improve the quality of the show.

Even though I didn’t announce a relaunch date at the time, I was planning to come back in mid-August.

After months of consideration, I’ve decided to not bring the show back for the rest of 2019.

I talk about this more on my other podcast.

This is the hardest podcast episode I’ve ever done…but it’s necessary.

In this candid episode, I talk about my vegan story (started back in 2010), struggles with being vegan last year, insecurities about not having the life & relationships I want (yet), and being held back by shame. ⁣⁣⁣

I have to admit, I almost didn’t post this. ⁣⁣⁣

I recorded it with Nory Pouncil back in February, and it felt too raw...too real for me.⁣⁣⁣

It’s so hard to come to terms with your life not being where you want it to be...BUT releasing my truth is a part of my healing.⁣⁣⁣

This level of candor will help me do the REAL work necessary to help myself and others have the lives we’ve always wanted. ⁣⁣⁣

Shout out to Nory Pouncil for making it so easy for me to share MY TRUTH (that shrimp quesadillas story was supposed to go to the grave tho😭🙈).⁣⁣⁣

I truly appreciate all of the love & support I’ve received over the last several days. ⁣⁣⁣

I have THE BEST audience on the internet. I’m overwhelmed by the kindest emails, DMs, voice memos & videos.⁣⁣⁣

I still have so much work to do, but I’m up for the challenge.
